Prepare For Your Onsite Estimate
Budget Pricing Ahead of Time
If you haven’t already, we highly recommend getting budget pricing before your appointment. K&C offers several convenient ways to help you estimate your fence cost in advance by visiting our Pricing Options Page.
Know Your Fence Location
Please know where you want your fence located when we arrive for your onsite appointment. This will help us save a lot of time.
HOA Guidelines, Local Codes & Permits
We may not know what your HOA or Local Codes needs to approve a project. If you have your HOA guidelines and codes ready, this can make you more prepared for what's allowed.
Know Your Fence Style
Be sure you have a main fence type in mind for your estimator to price out for you. It gets hard to price out multiple fence types in a short period. We also cannot estimate a neighbor’s property during your appointment. We have other appointments scheduled and only have time to talk to one potential customer at a time.
Inform Your Neighbors
When sharing a property line, let your neighbors be aware of your plan. This helps avoid conflicts and may even lead to shared project costs or collaboration.
Can’t Meet Your Estimator?
We understand that sometimes you may not be available for an on-site estimate. Here are a few options:
- You may also ask a trusted family member or friend to meet with the estimator on your behalf.
While these options work, we still advise meeting in person as the best way to guarantee that everything is clear and accurate.
